One thing I have noticed about Mr. Tarique Rahman, the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh
One thing I have noticed about Mr. Tarique Rahman, the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the eldest son of the late President Ziaur Rahman and the late Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, is that he is a kind, caring, and compassionate person. Every time I have met him, I have felt that before being a political leader or Prime Minister, he is a true human being who genuinely cares about people.
Today, 30 July 2026, I had the honor of meeting him. During the 40 minutes meeting I hard, he handed over government appointment letters to our three persons with disabilities.
He also shared that it is possible to reserve 10% of government jobs for persons with disabilities. We had a meaningful discussion on this and several other important issues.
I believe the future is bright for persons with disabilities in Bangladesh. I hope our country will become a recognize in the world as it promoting the rights, dignity, committed to promote Barrier-free Bangladesh, and real development of persons with disabilities.
The meeting was also attended by the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Dr. A Jet Jahid Hossan, and the Honorable Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, Mr. Atikur Rahman Rumon.
I sincerely thank the Honorable Prime Minister for giving me nearly 40 minutes of his valuable time. I pray for his good health, happiness, and a long life
